Man arrested after police find thousands of child abuse images
GUELPH – A Guelph man faces several charges after officers allegedly found thousands of child sexual abuse images after executing a search warrant late last year.
On Nov. 26, Guelph Police executed a search warrant after receiving a tip from the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children.
“Two phones and a laptop were seized,” stated a Jan. 8 press release from Guelph Police. “Two of the devices were found to contain thousands of images and videos depicting child sexual abuse.”
A 69-year-old Guelph man was arrested for possessing, accessing and sharing child sexual abuse and exploitation material. He is to appear in court on Feb. 17.
