MINTO – Alternative winter programming at the Clifford arena, where ice has not been installed for several seasons, is proving popular, Minto council heard at its April 2 meeting.

MINTO – The recreational vehicle (RV) waste disposal site at the Harriston fairgrounds will be decommissioned, effective June 1.

PALMERSTON – On April 6, families and friends gathered at Martin’s Sugar Bush (Royalmar Farms) between 10am and 3pm for pancakes, horse-drawn wagons rides, and to tour the farm and learn about how maple syrup is made.

HARRISTON  –  It may be set in a funeral home, but there’s plenty of fun in store for audiences of the Grey Wellington Theatre Guild’s (GWTG)  upcoming production of Gibson and Sons.

PALMERSTON - Palmerston and District Hospital Foundation President Earl Campbell was on hand recently to thank the Struyk family and Conestogo Agri Systems for their $100,000 pledge to the foundation’s MRI+ Campaign.

MINTO – The Minto Selects finished second in the Elite Men’s division at the 46th annual Senior Broomball National Championships held in Belleville, March 26 to 30.

HARRISTON – Electric vehicle (EV) operators now have the opportunity for a quick recharge at a vehicle dealership here. Leslie Motors held a grand opening for two new level three EV charging stations at its Elora Street Ford dealership on April 6.

Councillors here have expressed support for several pieces of correspondence calling on upper levels of government to provide more funds to help small municipalities deal with housing issues.

MINTO – Council here is supporting a resolution calling on the Ontario Good Roads Association and Rural Ontario Municipal Association to go back to the past practice of holding a combined annual conference.
