Local senior found dead in Wellington North pond
The body of a local senior was pulled from a pond here last week.
On Oct. 8 at about 4:30pm, Wellington County OPP officers, along with Centre Wellington Fire Rescue and Wellington North Fire, responded to a report that a lawn mower had entered a pond on Concession 2 of Wellington North and the operator was unaccounted for.
Police say the pond was partially drained and the body of a 76-year-old male from Wellington North was pulled from the water. The man was identified as George Sauder.
Police say the death is not considered suspicious.
