Local man injured in rollover
A 30-year-old Mapleton man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle accident here on March 13.
At approximately 1:30am Wellington County OPP received a call regarding a serious accident involving a single motor vehicle on Wellington Road 12 just west of Wellington Road 7, Mapleton Township.
Passing motorists located a pick-up truck that had rolled into the ditch. The male driver, the lone passenger, suffered serious injuries and needed to be extricated from the vehicle by Mapleton Fire Rescue.
He was transported to a local hospital by ambulance and then transported by air ambulance to a London-area hospital.
The cause of the collision is currently being investigated by technical collision investigators from the Wellington OPP.
