FIREFIGHTERS GRATEFUL

As 2015 draws to a close, we all take time to look back on the year that was. As we, the Elora Fire Fighter’s Association reflect on our events of this year, we are filled with great pride for this community that we all call home. What a wonderful community we live in.
Our annual pancake breakfast, held on July 1st, was an incredible success again this year. Thanks to all of you who come out year after year, rain or shine, to stand in the line of red and white in support of us and the great local charities that receive the proceeds from the breakfast. A great big thanks also goes out to Fran Wiema and The Elora Mill Street Bistro, John Markvart and Fair Trade Centre Wellington, Marlene McDonald and Heritage River Retirement Residence as well as the Township of Centre Wellington. We greatly value the continued support that you have all given to our breakfast over the years.
On September 19th, we held a boot drive to raise funds for Muscular Dystrophy Canada. Once again, our community stepped up and filled the boot with more than $7,500. We are sure that tourists also had a hand in the success of our boot drive, but it is the greatness of this community that draws the tourists here.
Thanks so very much to all of you in this wonderful community for your continued support. It means so much to all of us.
In closing, we would like to wish all of you the very best this holiday season. From our families to yours, Merry Christmas and best wishes for a Safe and Happy New Year!
