This morning (Tuesday, Oct 27) I was rear ended on highway 22 after avoiding hitting two deer crossing the road. I think both cars are write-offs, so not a little fender bender. I want to thank the gentleman who stopped to be sure both drivers were okay and also to the off-duty Hillsburgh firefighter who showed great leadership in handling the situation, making sure both drivers were okay, putting out the car fire and keeping us warm and comfortable while we waited for OPP, fire and ambulance to arrive. He did an amazing job and the community is lucky have such a skilled and compassionate responder.
