Something that amazed me when I first moved to Stratford was learning that St.Marys- Stratford had an opera group.
Later, when I retired, I started attending these Tues. afternoon opera films in the fall and winter seasons. John Leberg introduced these films with a short talk on the background of the opera and the composer, so we could better appreciate the opera.
This year is the 20th anniversary of Music and Opera Appreciation and we are having a special concert Oct. 25 with Daniel Taylor, countertenor and the Musicians of Theatre of Early Music, and Suzie Leblanc, soprano, and narration by Martha Henry. I have attached the poster for the concert and the history of Music ansd Opera Appreciation, Inc.. I have the press release, which I could send for background, but we do not wish to release it until much later.
