RE: ‘Goofie’ parking scheme, March 14 paper

I am in agreeance that the parking in downtown Fergus has put a strain on both consumers and businesses. We, as a town, are growing, but how do we grow the limited space we have? Rather than complain, why not, as a town, do something about it. Has the thought of building a parkade been brought up? Many people are not supportive of change; however, this would be a change that would help the community in many ways. Help us help you support the local economy. A perfect access spot would be to grow the Provost Lane parking lot upward. Of course we all know the answer to this will be “lack of funding”, but it is food for thought – and we all need to eat.
