NO HOCKEY FOR PUSLINCH YOUTH

My name is Carlan and I am 11. I am writing to you about the optimist recreation center in Puslinch. Recently, I was looking at the schedule for the ice rink there. Usually, there are designated times when you are allowed to bring hockey sticks on the ice and play hockey. There are different times for different age groups such as adults, kids, and teens. I noticed that there were none of these times on the schedule. The recreation administrative assistant Erin Wallace has informed me that there will not be any stick times this season because there were too many problems last year.
I was FURIOUS because that is the only time I go to the ice rink and really enjoy it. I don’t usually go to the free skate. Last year I went there and practiced my goalie skills before my hockey game the next week. This is really upsetting because now I won’t use the rink anymore for this year. The rink is the only place that I can have fun and play hockey close to me instead of driving all the way to Guelph or Cambridge and having to PAY to skate WITHOUT sticks.
It is too bad that the rink was meant to serve Puslinch youth and for them to have fun. Now, many Puslinch youth will not have fun and will not go to the rink because there are no stick times.
Thank you,
Carlan
