I was fortunate enough to be part of a mind blowing weekend where I witnessed 25 amazing teams test their skills, face their fears, and challenge their endurance in the Southern Ontario Amazing Race. Each team of two had to work together to solve demanding challenges over two days and their commitment, dedication and loyalty to each other was nothing short of miraculous. Their spirits moved up and down as they tested their patience and kept their anxiety in check, but they never gave up! The race directors are amazing and their wit, tireless energy and vivid imagination help pull the race off every year. This was the tenth anniversary of SOAR, and the beneficiary (Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington) is smiling for the $143,000+ that was raised. Can’t wait for next year!
