I do not see the need for the proposed Fergus library expansion. I have been using the library two to three times a week for more than two years and there has rarely been more than three people browsing and another two or three on the computers. There is a shortage of table space to work on but that could easily be remedied by relocating the downstairs children’s library to one of the vacant spaces now available in the downtown area, such as across the walking bridge in the old market. I am sure the kids would not mind although the building contractors might.
