They Don’t Only Fight Fires! This past weekend the Power of Play ran a ball hockey tournament as our second fundraiser to build Centre Wellington’s first fully accessible playground. It was enormously successful, raising approximately $8000. This would not have been possible without the help and donation from our Elora Fire Fighters. They became a playground bronze sponsor, lent equipment and time, and even had members playing in the tournament. It was an honor to have them as our tournament’s major sponsor. The Power of Play team would also like to thank Centre Wellington Ball Hockey for their premier facility and refs that worked all weekend. Also D’s Sports Bar for all the hard work, and wonderful food that made the night memorable. Thanks to all players for supporting our cause, and we hope to see you again next year.
