Dear Center Wellington Residents, Families and Friends of 1st Elora Scouts, You never realize what impact an organization has on its community until you plan an event such as our annual Christmas Tree Sale. 1st ELORA Scouts have been selling Christmas Trees for over 40 years and every year we use the money raised to support many youth in this community learn, grow and challenge themselves to accomplish things they didn’t think they could. Thank you to those of you who purchased a tree from our many beavers, cubs and scouts who stood out on those cold Saturday and Sundays during the month of December. Thank you to those who told stories of past to the parents and leaders and of course those that renewed their participation in Scouts Canada by volunteering to be “guest leaders” in up coming activities (winter camping, ice fishing, woodworking and construction projects). This year we were fortunate again to be sponsored and hosted by Elora Cashway RONA, which once again provided the youth with a safe and secure location. We achieved our fundraising target and look forward to an excellent year of programming in the way of adventures, youth leadership development and a lot of FUN!. Thank you again for purchasing your Christmas Tree from the 1st Elora Scouts and we look forward to seeing you next year. If you wish to become involved with 1st ELORA SCOUTS (by way of becoming a leader or special guest, or by providing specialized skills and/or talents) please contact Roy Henley at firsteloracubs@hotmail.com Happy Hunting Cubs and Busy Beavers Building Raksha (Barbara Moore) and Hawkeye (Jodi Abra)
