“New Mount Forest Long-term Care Facility Receives Funding from province.”

Sept 16, 2016

Congratulations to the workers and residents at Saugeen Valley Long term Care, on the plans to rebuild. It’s great to see that the government is realizing the importance of providing a good long term care facility for our vulnerable residents. I do not think i am the only one who would like to see more awareness raised for the wellbeing of the elderly.

With the baby boomers approaching, it’s necessary that government run nursing homes get a makeover. Each person deserves quality in all aspects of life.Their lives matter too. Their situation might say otherwise, but our money wouldn’t be going to a lost cause. Why not have a place where people would actually want to spend the rest of their lives ?

I’d like to point out the abundance of homes and materials our society has. Most of us live comfortably and have more than we need. The elderly did not all have it quite as nice; but lived through some rough times. Our provincial government should help them out by giving them a luxury they could not have had, a beautiful home to live in with good facilities and a comfortable environment, now at their most uncomfortable state.

Thank You for the funding of the Saugeen Valley Nursing Home. I hope more can be done for other nursing homes in the area for our senior residents, their loved ones and their caregivers.
