Legion is always there to assist veterans
Legion officials say organizing events in the community is getting harder due to aging veterans.
The Legion is always looking for help at events, including Nov. 11 services and dinners.
Veterans’ services
The Fergus branch hosts spring and fall visits from the Legion’s provincial service officer, who will assist any veteran and/or their spouse with any of their needs and concerns.
A notice about those visits is posted in the branch, in the Wellington Advertiser and on the Legion website (ferguslegion.ca). Local veterans are encouraged to contact the local veterans services officer at Branch 275 to arrange an appointment (519-843-2345).
