Labour costs edge up for 2013 to 2016

Centre Wellington councillors have agreed to have the mayor and clerk finalize the memorandum of agreement with township employees – as approved by council in December.

That decision followed a brief report by human resources manager Rick Hulley that finalizes the negotiated salary grids with the staff association until Dec. 31, 2016.

Finalized copies were reviewed and signed by the negotiation teams representing the Township of Centre Wellington and the staff association.

Hulley’s report states the major implication for the budget are labour cost increases of 1.5% for 2013, 1.6% for 2014, 1.75% for 2015 and 1.9% for 2016, with some increase in various benefits over the four- year period.
