JDRF walk at Guelph Lake

Lori and Kevin Hayden and their son Charlie are participating in the TELUS Walk to Cure Diabetes organized by Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) taking place June 5 at the Guelph Lake Conservation Area at 9am featuring a kid’s 1km route and a 5km route.

Charlie, 6, was diagnosed with type one diabetes at the age of 3. As a result, he is insulin dependant requiring four injections per day, multiple daily blood checks and ongoing monitoring.

“We are hopeful for the future knowing that JDRF is committed to raising funds to treat, prevent and, one day, cure type one diabetes,” Lori and Kevin wrote in an email.
