Hometown Christmas at the Fergus Grand Theatre

On Dec. 4 The Grand Impresarios are presenting Hometown Christmas. This will be a variety show featuring an array of local talent starting at 8pm at the Fergus Grand Theatre.

Concert goers will be treated to an evening of music and drama that will include performances by members (ages 8 and up) of the classes offered this fall at the Fergus Grand Theatre by Take 2 Drama.

The evening will also include musical performances by Madison Galloway, 5Live Rock, Sharon Thompson, Stage Presence Dance Company and more. A great opportunity for the whole family to enjoy up-and-coming talent and to celebrate the festive season.

This show is the third and final in a series of events being produced by The Grand Impresarios at the Fergus Grand Theatre this fall.

The Grand Impresarios are members of a class in event production being offered by the theatre. Class members include Scott Moir founder of WeeAlec Productions and Chris and Sharon Thompson founders of Celtic Cross Productions.

The class has been meeting weekly since early September to learn the ins and outs of event production while working to produce real shows as practical application.

“Being a sole producer you juggle all aspects of an upcoming show and at times you can end up spending too much time on some things and not enough on others,” Moir said. [The course has] helped put a lot of that into perspective.”

Moir also said one of the draws of the course was learning about the industry from some one as experiences as Fergus Grand Theatre coordinator Eric Goudie.

“I’m so proud of what the participants in this course have accomplished,” Goudie said in a press release.

“The Grand Impresarios have worked hard to put together a concert featuring some great local talent, and they have done so within strict limitations of time, money and other resources.”

Adult tickets cost $25, and youth tickets are $15 and can be purchased by phone at 519-787-1981 or online at www.fergusgrandtheatre.ca.
