Hillsburgh business helps keep hands warm

East Wellington Community Services offers its thanks to Mary McArthur, owner of Hillsburgh Foodland, and her enthusiastic staff for raising an incredible $662 during the month of December where they asked their customers to “help keep our agency hands warm” by  purchasing a paper mitten for $2.

Customers could write their name on the mitten and all mittens were displayed at the store as a sign of community spirit and support of EWCS.

Hillsburgh Foodland also accepts food donations for the EWCS food bank program and we are grateful for their ongoing support of the food bank throughout the year.
