GUELPH/ERAMOSA – A local man is facing harassment and sexual assault charges following an incident here last week.

Wellington County OPP officials say police opened an investigation on Sept. 9 "after receiving information of a sexual assault" on Highway 7 in Guelph/Eramosa.

Jeffrey Mast, 60, of Guelph/Eramosa, was charged on Sept. 16 with sexual assault and criminal harassment.

He is to appear in Guelph court on Oct. 24.
