The osprey family being filmed at Belwood Lake has been the source of new attention to the Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) website since the webcam went live at the end of April.

The first osprey egg hatched on May 29 and the second on May 30.

However, the second died quickly. The third egg hatched on June 4.

The young osprey will remain in the nest until they fledge in August.

In its most recent Newsletter the GRCA said it hopes to have the young ospreys banded before they are old enough to fly and leave the nest.
