Golden Helmets to honour fallen Guelph officer
The OPP Golden Helmets Motorcycle Precision Team will be performing in front of the Guelph Police Headquarters’ on Aug. 18 at 1pm.
It is part of Canada’s 911 Ride in honour of Guelph Police’s Fallen Hero Constable Jennifer A. Kovach who was killed in a March crash while responding to a call in the city.
Fundraising ride
The ride is to raise funds and awareness and help families of fallen emergency service personnel; to help children who were victims of violent crimes; as well as working with the Mikey Network to make public defibrillators more readily available; and supporting returning military personnel who were injured in the line of duty through the Soldier On Program.
The ride will begin Aug. 17 in Toronto with a stopover in Stratford.
On Aug. 18, it will begin again and travel to Guelph, then finish in Toronto.
