Funding supports students DREAMS

School is officially back in session and students have a new program.

S’Cool Life Fund awarded 231 grants to public elementary schools to support students’ DREAMS (drama, recreation, extracurricular, arts, music and Sports).

Aberfoyle Public School was awarded a $1,500 S’Cool Life Fund grant for recreation and physical activity.  As a result, students can use new equipment during recess to promote physical activity (soccer balls, rubber balls, hula hoops, skipping ropes.).

“We understand that children learn and grow from a wide variety of different activities that extend beyond classroom walls,” said Aberfoyle teacher representative Jamie Skeoch.

“S’Cool Life Fund facilitates this development by supporting extracurricular programs that make school more exciting and active for kids. Seeing our students participate in increased physical activity while having fun will be a DREAM come true for staff and parents; we are all very lucky.”
