Free shuttle bus for Scottish Festival

Once again the Fergus Scottish Festival and Highland games will be bringing in thousands of visitors from near and far. To help manage the traffic and parking congestion, they are offering a free shuttle bus service.

The bus will run on Aug. 10 from 5pm to midnight; Aug. 11 from 9am to 11:30pm, with extra buses operating at peak hours. Buses will be easily recognizable.

The bus will do a continuous loop from Elora through Fergus and onto the festival grounds.  Starting at The Grand River Raceway in Elora and making stops at the Elora Legion and Bissell Park and then onto the Fergus Legion, I Love Chocolate, Cherry Hill Video, Fergus Information Centre and finally the festival grounds at the Centre Wellington Sportsplex.

Festival visitors can use the service to explore Fergus and Elora and return back to the main site, without needing to take a car.

The wait at any stop is not expected to exceed 30 to 40 minutes.

Visitors staying at Highland Pines campground will have two free shuttle buses on Saturday leaving the campground at 9am and 1:45pm and again on Sunday at 10am, with return shuttles planned. For a schedule of times, passengers are asked to check with Highland Pines staff.

The free service is provided by Elora and Fergus Tourism and community partners.
