CENTRE WELLINGTON – The Centre Wellington Community Foundation (CWCF) board of directors has announced Judy Foster as its new executive director.

JUDY FOSTER

Officials say Foster, who takes over from the retiring Raymond Soucy, will lead the foundation’s work to grow its impact to benefit Centre Wellington.

“The foundation’s incredible legacy established in its short history is inspiring.” stated Foster in a press release.

“Currently, Centre Wellington charities are facing increasing pressures and evolving needs. We aim to respond and provide engaged grant-making to support Centre Wellington.”

CWCF board chair Randall Howard said last year the foundation “provided unprecedented levels of granting, funding 22 initiatives totalling over $304,000.

“In addition to collaborating with our donors and local non-profits, partnerships with Community Foundations of Canada and the Government of Canada enabled us to bring our largest grants ever to our community via the Community Services Recovery Fund.”

Advocate for partnership

Howard added Foster is an advocate for collaboration and partnership and will continue to strengthen the foundation in this area.

Foster is a graduate of Western University and is a seasoned non-profit leader with more than 25 years of experience in multiple disciplines of higher education, arts and health, officials say.

They add she is passionate about innovating new strategies to help increase charitable impact.

Foster has volunteered with the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Chamber of Commerce, and Block Parents.
