BOUWKNEGT, Ralph “Sparky”
Of Listowel and formerly of Gowanstown passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family at the Listowel Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 in his 80th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Marie (Borth) Bouwknegt for 60 years. Dear father of the late Ron Bouwknegt (2003). Cherished grandfather of Kirsten and Chris Ireland and Mackenzie Bouwknegt. GG to Iris. Brother of Gary Bouwknegt. Brother-in-law of Audrey Borth. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents Klaas and Jantje Bouwknegt, sister Grace Bouwknegt, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Elizabeth Morphy, David Borth, George Borth, Jake Borth and Susan Jacklin and Jim Furlong. To honour Sparky’s wishes cremation has taken place. The family received friends at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. Rev. Jeff Hawkins conducted the Memorial Service of Remembrance in the Knox Presbyterian Church, Listowel on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at 11:00am. Interment in Bethesda Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to North Perth Hospice or the Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
