Erin stables part of Headwaters Stable Tour

Erin stables are included in the 10th annual Headwaters Stable Tour, Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, from 10am to 4pm.

Meet the horse owners, stable managers and the people who are the foundation of the horse community.

From breeding farms, coaching and training facilities to riding schools, boarding stables and ranches, visitors will experience the gamut of equine activity with a rare “behind the scenes” perspective.

The tour is self-guided and admission is free.

Erin stables Myrddin Equestrian, Longrun Thoroughbred Adoption Stables, Minshall Farms and Meadowlarke North will be participating in this year’s self guided tour.

Myrddin Equestrian, located on Trafalgar Road near Ballinafad, features dressage and eventing horses. The stable will be open from 7am to 4pm on Oct. 1.

Meet a Queen’s Plate winner at Longrun Thoroughbred Adoption Stables on 5th Line, open 10am to 3pm on Sept. 30.

Minshall Farms (Wellington Road 22 east of Fourth Line) will feature thoroughbred yearling and cutting horses.

At Meadowlarke North (Third Line north of Wellington Road 50), get up close to show jumpers and hunter competition horses, featuring several different breeds.

Be sure to complete a postcard entry for a chance to win a Horsey Night Out in Elora dinner/racing package, courtesy of Grand River Raceway.
