Erin Rotary Club donates medical supplies to Ukraine

ERIN – The Rotary Club of Erin has committed $1,000 to Project Volya, an initiative led by three Canadian volunteers on the ground in Ukraine.

Project Volya purchases and distributes medical supplies to Ukraine, including:

  tourniquets;

  hemostatic gauze;

  chest seals; and

medical training equipment.

The initiative also trains local people in the use of medical supplies.

Across Ukraine, medical providers struggle to meet everyday humanitarian and medical needs.

The need is of particular concern in the eastern-most conflict-affected regions such as Kharkiv, Luhanks, Donetsk and Zaphorizhia.

Examples of medical providers supported include the 72nd Mechanized Brigade and the Ukrainian Defense Intelligence Directorate.

More help is urgently needed. People can learn more and contribute directly at www.projectvolya.ca.

The Rotary Club of Erin has been serving Erin for 25 years. Erin Rotary is active in local community service and youth leadership initiatives and has a global reach through Rotary International.
