Erin Beef Club 1 holds last meeting of year

For our last meeting of the year we went to Locust Grove Angus Farm in Milton. Tom and Judy McDonald showed us how they pick out their calves to show.

They look for depth of rib and body and sturdy legs. Also one of the biggest factors is the mother and the bull.

They had six heifer calves, a bunch of bull calves, a few yearlings, and a bunch of cows.

We went inside for our meeting and talked about how to make the club better, different activities we could do next year.

We also talked about the display board for the fair. We were all looking forward to showing our calves at the Erin Fall Fair Thanksgiving weekend.

Thank you Tom and Judy for letting us come to your farm for our final meeting.
