Elora man killed in accident
An Elora man is dead after a serious crash here on Thursday.
Waterloo Police reported the crash took place on June 16 at about 4:46pm on Northfield Drive East near Line 86 in the Township of Woolwich.
Police say a vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic and was struck by a dump truck.
A 23-year-old Elora man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the dump truck was taken to hospital and released with minor injuries.
Police say the speed of the deceased man's vehicle was likely a factor in the collision, but drug and alcohol use were not a factor. The investigation is continuing.
