FERGUS – A Fergus driver was charged after a school bus full of students ran into the side of a parked car on the way to school on Tuesday morning.

Wellington County OPP officers responded to the two-vehicle collision on Black Street in Fergus on Sept. 23 at about 8:45am.

"There were approximately 30 children on the school bus (but) no injuries were reported," police stated in a Sept. 25 press release.

"The parked vehicle was unoccupied."

A 73-year-old from Fergus was charged with making an unsafe lane change.
