Domestic violence prevention evening Nov. 9 at Puslinch Community Centre

The Puslinch COPs (Community Oriented Policing) committee has been working in conjunction with Wellington OPP and local churches to bring awareness to domestic violence.

In an ongoing effort to involve public participation and discussion, Puslinch COPs is hosting a gala evening on Nov. 9 at the Puslinch Community Centre.

Doors open at 6pm for viewing auction items.

Jessica St. Peter of Women In Crisis will give a talk at 7pm on the effects of family violence – why it happens and strategies for overcoming issues within families.

A cornucopia of eclectic silent auction items ranging from gift certificates from local dining spots to a 32 inch flat screen television will be available.

Proceeds will assist Women In Crisis and Victim Services of Guelph Wellington.

Nestlé Water Canada is corporately sponsoring this event.
