Department plans fire safety nights

BRUCEDALE – Chill out with the Guelph-Eramosa Fire Department during its  “hot summer nights” at locations throughout the township.

Chat with local first responders, learn about fire safety and check out the emergency vehicles.

Guelph-Eramosa residents who show firefighters their completed home fire escape plan will receive a ballot to enter the department’s hot summer nights pizza delivery draw.

Fire crews will be on duty during the events and may have to leave to respond to an emergency call.

The remaining events will be held at:

– James Lynch Park, 386 Evert St., Everton, July 24 at 7pm.

– Memorial Park, 19 Memorial St., Eden Mills, July 31 at 7pm.

– Lloyd Dyer Park, 209 Balaclava St., Rockwood, Aug. 7 and 14 at 7pm; and

– Rockwood Conservation Area, every Saturday in July and August at 7pm. Regular park admission fees apply.
