GUELPH/ERAMOSA – A local cyclist has died after being hit by a vehicle on Sunday evening.
Emergency crews responded to the scene, on Wellington Road 86 in Guelph/Eramosa Township, on Dec. 7 at about 6:15pm.
“A 49-year-old from Ariss was pronounced deceased on scene,” stated a Dec. 9 press release from the Wellington County OPP.
“The occupants of the vehicle did not sustain injuries.”
It’s unclear why it took police more than 36 hours to issue a press release about the incident.
