WELLINGTON COUNTY – Ten local students will receive educational scholarships and bursaries from the County of Wellington.
The awards are based on academic achievement, community involvement or financial need.
At its Sept. 26 meeting, county council awarded the $500 bursaries and scholarships.
The following local students will use the money to help cover their post-secondary school expenses:
– Stephen Harris, Guelph-Eramosa;
– Aylene van den Eijnden, Wellington North;
– Jade Ritter, Centre Wellington;
– Michaela McBryde, Puslinch;
– Joshua Wakeford, Minto;
– Paxton Klaassen, Mapleton;
– Meghan Secord, Puslinch;
– Jensen Pletch, Centre Wellington;
– Shaelyn Thompson, Minto; and
– Abby Ball, Wellington North.
