MOUNT FOREST – The Mount Forest Chamber of Commerce is alerting residents to counterfeit money discovered by some local businesses.
The chamber notes differences between two $50 bills, including an unclear maple leaf in the top-hand left corner of the bill, a lighter red colour, incorrect length and width, and a hologram from the wrong bill.
The OPP requests counterfeit money to be reported to its non-emergency line at 1-888-310-1122.
