Church break-in, theft

Police are looking for help to solve a recent theft from a church here.

On Jan. 2 at about 10:52am Wellington County OPP officers received report of a break and enter that occurred at the United Church on Tucker Street in Arthur.

Police say that sometime between Dec. 30 and Jan. 2, unknown suspect(s) pried open the side door and gained entry into the church. An Acer laptop and a JVC amplifier with a remote control were taken. The approximate value of the stolen property is $1,200.

Anyone with information regarding this incident can call police at 1-888-310-1122. To remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit a tip on-line at www.csgw.tips. Tipsters may be eligible for a reward from Crime Stoppers of up to $2,000.
