Celtic band coming to Eden Mills on March 11

Celtic band Clan Hannigan is headed for Eden Mills on March 11 at the Community Hall.

Based in Cobourg Ontario, Clan Hannigan is a “‹family band playing “‹Celtic music. They play traditional instruments, including uilleann (Irish) pipes, whistles, fiddle, bodhran, cittern, nyckelharpa and guitar.

Steafan Hannigan and Saskia Tomkin’s daughters, Eile and Ayisha, sing and Irish dance, and son Oisin plays percussion and is a bodhran player.

Steafan has worked in over 20 countries, recorded on over 80 albums.  

Tomkins, one of the best fiddlers in southern Ontario, was awarded All-Britain Champion for Irish music.

The March 11 concert will begin at 8pm.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students. “‹
