Celebration planned in Clifford

CLIFFORD – This community is gearing up for a village-wide celebration on June 8.

The event is a celebration of the community’s downtown core, revitalized in a major street reconstruction project completed last fall.

The event will feature a five-kilometre run and trail walk, community-wide yard sales and sidewalk sales at downtown businesses, as well as an outdoor craft vendor show.

There will also be a radio-controlled truck show, a kid zone featuring bouncy castles and games.

Minto Mental Health (MMH) is sponsoring a community chalk conversation and an outdoor movie night will be held at Cenotaph Park with proceeds to MMH.

A firefighters three-pitch tournament will also be  part of the fun.

The festivities will wrap up with a street dance downtown from 8 to 11pm, with music by DJ Cody Miller. There is a $5 cover charge for the dance and age of majority will be required.
