Cash, ATM stolen from Mount Forest Sportsplex
Police are seeking more information after someone broke into the Sportsplex here and stole cash and an ATM.
On Nov. 16 at about 7:30pm, Wellington County OPP received a report of a break-in at the Mount Forest and District Sportsplex on Princess Street.
Police say that sometime between Nov. 15 at 11pm and Nov. 16 at 7:20am suspect(s) pried open the ground floor window of the manager’s office and opened cash boxes and a “microsafe.”
“Suspects then entered the lobby area and removed the ATM,” police stated, adding the total amount of money stolen is still not known.
OPP Forensic Identification Services officers are assisting with the investigation.
