Canadian Dairy expo cancelled for 2020

STRATFORD – The 2020 Canadian Dairy Xpo (CDX) has been cancelled for 2020. The next CDX will be held April 7 and 8, 2021.

“As Canada’s largest dairy stage attracting international interest, our first and foremost priority is for the health and safety of our dairy farm families, dairy industry, team CDX and the residents of Stratford,” CDX officials stated in a May 27 press release.

In May, all of the approximately 350 exhibitors and sponsors have received a 10 per cent interest payment on any exhibitor and/or sponsorship fees paid towards CDX 2020. Approximately 70 exhibiting companies and sponsors have chosen to donate their 10% to the Canadian Mental Health Association,  with funds being directed within the agricultural sector across Canada. This amount represents $25,000 and counting, officials note.

The Canadian Poultry XPO (CPX) is still scheduled for Nov. 4 and 5 2020.

“We are closely monitoring guidelines from the Government of Canada, the World Health Organization (WHO) and local government officials regarding COVID-19 and how this affects the tradeshow industry,” CPX officials note.
