ATM stolen from local gas station

Police are looking for clues after an ATM machine was stolen from a gas station here on Jan. 12.

At about 4:05am, Wellington County OPP received a report of a break and enter at the Esso gas station located on Woolwich Street in Salem.

Police say that at about 3:50am “two males forced open the door of the business and removed the ATM from the leg bolts, pushed it out the door and loaded it into a dark coloured sport utility vehicle (SUV) with a roof rack.”

Both male suspects are described by police as having a medium build, wearing baggy jackets with hoods pulled up and running shoes. The vehicle was last seen travelling northbound on Wellington Road 7.
