A clear view counts

Wellington County OPP want to remind motorists the importance of clearing all snow and ice from vehicles.

Driving a motor vehicle with partially cleared windows is not only a hazard to drivers but also to others on the road.  

Under the Highway Traffic Act it is illegal to not have a clear view out the windshield and to the sides. The fine is for this violation is $110.

Police are asking motorists to “be considerate and take the time to remove all ice and snow from your vehicle before driving, especially from the hood, windows and roof.”
