The holiday classic A Christmas Story is returning to the Fergus Grand Theatre, this time in movie form in support of Groves Hospital Foundation.
A Christmas Story tells the story of nine-year-old Ralphie Parker’s quest to get an official Red Ryder, carbine action, 200- shot range model air rifle with a compass and a thing that tells time built right into the stock.
At each turn, however, Ralphie is met with parents, teachers and friends telling him, “you’ll shoot your eye out!”
Meanwhile Ralphie’s father is excitedly awaiting his “big award,” a leg-lamp that he has won for his mind power and skill.
Vision Theatre Productions Inc. has been actively supporting the community through theatre productions for the past eight years. In November, Vision Theatre Productions donated $5,000 to the foundation following their successful production of M*A*S*H.
The theatre company is excited to continue this partnership with Groves Memorial Community Hospital Foundation with this fun and entertaining movie night.
A Christmas Story runs for one night only on Dec. 20 at the Fergus Grand Theatre beginning at 7pm.
