FERGUS – On Dec. 3 at about 2pm, Wellington County OPP officers were conducting a RIDE program at Orangeville Road and Scotland Street in Fergus.
A 56-year-old Guelph woman was charged with driving while impaired by alcohol and drugs, possessing unmarked cigarettes and care or control of a vehicle with cannabis readily available. She is to appear in Guelph court on Jan. 6.
PUSLINCH – On Dec. 6 at about 4:30am, Wellington County OPP officers responded to a vehicle in a ditch on Watson Road in Puslinch.
Police say they received “a complaint from a concerned citizen, who suspected the driver to be impaired.”
“The accused did not sustain any injuries,” stated an OPP press release.
A 51-year-old Burlington man was charged with driving while impaired by alcohol and drugs and driving with more than 80mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood in his system. He is to appear in Guelph court on Dec. 19.
In the above incidents the driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for seven days.
