Over $6.6 million in OMPF funding to be split by seven local municipalities

PERTH-WELLINGTON –  On Nov. 24, Perth-Wellington MPP Matthew Rae announced over $6.6 million for local municipalities through the Ontario Municipal Partnership Fund (OMPF) for 2026.

Rae said the funding represents an increase of more than $700,000 from this year’s OMPF grants, the province’s main assistance to municipalities.

“[OMPF] provides funding directly to our local municipalities, which can use the money to address pressing local needs,” said Rae.

“I am proud that our government understands the importance of rural Ontario.

“This increased investment into our municipalities will provide them with the support they need to build our communities and attract new investments.”

Local OMPF funding includes:

– $120,000 for Centre Wellington;

– $455,200 for Wellington County;

– $511,000 for Puslinch;

– $572,000 for Guelph/Eramosa;

– $695,000 for Erin;

– $1.13 million for Mapleton;

– $1.58 million for Minto;
