GUELPH – The Friends of the Guelph Public Library are preparing for the 17th edition of the Big Book Sale, which runs from Sept. 25 to 28.
This month, a team of volunteers will start sorting donations and organizing the sale site at 440 Elmira Road North, supported by The Bamco Group.
Prices remain the same as in 2024 and cash, debit, and credit will be accepted at checkout:
– hardcovers are $4;
– trade paperbacks are $3; and
– mass market paperbacks are $1.
Children’s books, DVDs, puzzles, games and collectables will be individually priced.
Every child attending the sale can choose one regularly priced book to take home for free.
“This sale wouldn’t be possible without our incredible volunteers,” stated officials.
“If you’re a book lover looking to connect with others and support a great cause, we’d love to have you join us.”
They stated that volunteer opportunities are still available, and those interested should visit fgpl.ca/volunteer.
