4-H members were eager to bring back the beef at the first meeting of the West Luther Beef Club on April 19 at the Arthur Curling Club.
Leaders Charlie Twiss, Danielle Lennox, Heather Hargrave, Jason Hurst and Andrea Hurst gave introductions and an overview of future meetings before beginning the election process for roles such as president, vice president, secretary and press reporter.
For 2017, club officers are president Justin Swanston, vice president Charlene Elliott, secretary Bella Smith and press reporter Jade Ritter.
With the election process finished, club members reviewed the proper steps to making motions and discussed a snack schedule before closing the meeting with the 4-H motto.
The next meeting is scheduled for May 10, also at the Arthur Curling Club where members will begin to learn more about preparing and training calves for the fair.
