100 Women Who Care Rural Wellington donate $11,200 to Guelph Wish Fund for Children

MOOREFIELD – The June meeting of 100 Women Who Care Rural Wellington (WWCRW) was held at the Moorefield Community Hall, on June 17.

Senator Rob Black attended and spoke to members about the great need and importance of the group’s work.

The selected charity winner from this meeting was Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Wellington. Over 100 Women will donate $100 each to this organization which will total over $10,000.

The group’s next meeting is Sept. 16 at the Arthur Community Centre.

Anyone wishing to join this group, is encouraged to do so. They also welcome individuals as guests to learn what the group is all about.

September also marks 100WWCRW’s first anniversary. To date, the group has contributed over $40,000.00 to charities in rural Wellington.

Meetings are held four times per year and require a commitment of $100 per meeting. All funds go to a local charity selected by the group.

One hour x 100 women x $100 = $10,000.  It’s a great way to be a small part of making a big difference in our community.
