Police are looking for the public’s help  identifying a “suspicious” man.

On Nov. 2 at about  7:10pm, a 14-year-old girl was walking in the parking lot of the plaza on the corner of Willow and Dawson Roads in Guelph.

Police say she was approached by a man who followed her through the parking lot and asked where she was going and if he could join her. When the girl refused, the man grabbed her wrist but she was able to break free and run to a friend’s house to call police.

The suspect is described as a black with light skin in his 20s, 5’7”, skinny build, wearing a black sweater, blue jeans, black baseball hat and carrying a white umbrella with a large picture of Mickey Mouse on it.

Anyone with information can call Constable T. Hern at 519-824-1212 ext. 7439 or call Crime Stoppers.
